Tartu Ülikooli peatreener Indrek Visnapuu astus tagasi
indrek_visnapuu_newTäna, 24. jaanuaril otsustas TÜ Akadeemilise Spordiklubi juhatus rahuldada ülikooli korvpallimeeskonna peatreeneri Indrek Visnapuu tagasiastumispalve. Peatreeneri kohused võtab üle senine abitreener Gert Kullamäe. 

Indrek Visnapuu pidas tekkinud olukorras parimaks lahenduseks peatreeneri kohalt tagasi astuda, et klubil oleks võimalik arenguteed jätkata. "Minu persooni ümber tekkinud pinged ei võimaldanud enam meeskonda senisel kujul edasi arendada, mistõttu tulevikule mõeldes pidasin tagasiastumist parimaks võimalikuks sammuks."

Uue peatreeneri kohusetäitja Gert Kullamäe sõnul tunneb ta vastutust ja kohustust meeskonda edasi arendada, et tehtud tööd jätkata. Meeskonna abitreenerina jätkab Toomas Kandimaa.

Lisaks otsustas spordiklubi juhatus, et tekkinud olukorras vastutab korvpallimeeskonna ebarahuldavate tulemuste eest kogu klubi, sh korvpallidivisjoni eestvedajad. Otsuse tulemusena külmutatakse osa stipendiumilepingutest.

TÜ Akadeemilise Spordiklubi juhatuse esimees Andres Liinat ütles, et resoluutsete otsuste tegemisega viivitati ehk liigagi kaua aga nüüd oli viimane aeg astuda resoluutsed sammud.
