TTÜ võõrustab sellel nädalal kahel korral Moskva CSKA-d
ttu_korvpalliklubi_newSügisel väisas VTB liiga peadirektor Andrei Sirokov koos saatjaskonnaga Tallinna. Külaskäigu jooksul toimus kohtumine TTÜ rektori Andres Keevallikuga, kus külalised Moskvast tutvustasid plaani käivitada VTB-ga analoogne liiga, kuid osalejad oleksid üliõpilasmeeskonnad. 

Ainuüksi Venemaa üliõpilasmeistrivõistlustel osaleb üle 240 meeskonna. VTB-s osaleb käesoleval hooajal 22 meeskonda 10 riigist. Idee kohaselt kaasaksid VTB liigas osalevad meeskonnad oma n-ö koostööpartneri ülikooli.

Sellel hooajal on kavas mängida nn. tasememängud, et välja selgitada ülikoolid, kes võiksid selles sarjas osaleda. Kaks kohtumist on juba peetud: Vytautas Suure Ülikool (Žalgiris) kaotas kodus 88:99 Moskva oblasti Malahovski Kehakultuutri Akadeemiale (Himki) ning Vilniuses kaotasid kohalikud 70:82 Leningradi Riikliku Ülikooli meeskonnale.

Nüüd on aeg proovimänguks TTÜ käes ning vastaseks on CSKA-2. Moskva meeskond on koostatud üle Venemaa koondatud perspektiivsematest korvpalluritest, kellest oodatakse väärilist vahetust kuulsusrikkale CSKA-le. TTÜ eest astub väljakule meistriliiga meeskond täies koosseisus.

Mängud toimuvad TTÜ Spordihoones teisipäeval 21. veebruaril ja kolmapäeval 22. veebruaril algusega kell 20:00. Pealtvaatajatele on mängud tasuta! Kõik on oodatud omadele kaasa elama!
