U-19 jalgpalli EM-finaalturniiri patrooniks on Mart Poom
mart_poom_newSel suvel Eestis toimuva U-19 vanuseklassi Euroopa meistrivõistluste finaalturniiri patroon on jalgpallilegend Mart Poom. 

Värskelt oma 40. sünnipäeva tähistanud endine tippväravavaht osaleb lähikuudel turniiriga seotud üritustel ja aitab suurvõistlust tutvustada nii Eesti kui rahvusvahelises meedias. Oma roll on tal nii turniiri alagruppide loosimisel kui ka ava- ja lõputseremoonial.

Poom esindas oma mängijakarjääri jooksul Inglismaa klubisid Londoni Arsenal, Derby County, Sunderland, Watford ja Portsmouth, lisaks pallis ta Soomes, Šveitsis ja Eestis.

Koondise värve kaitses Poom 120 kohtumises. Oma lahkumismängu pidas ta 2009. aasta 10. juunil, kui Eesti viigistas koduväljakul Portugaliga.
